Kevin’s Bio

Kevin Thomas is the family and counseling pastor at Saylorville Baptist Church in Des Moines, Iowa. Kevin had the privilege of being raised in a Christian home. At the age of 8, Kevin came to realize that he was lost in his sin and placed his faith in Christ (Romans 10:9-10). Prior to joining the staff at Saylorville, Kevin was the Iowa director of Baptist Children’s Home for 14 years. During his time at BCH, Kevin was an active member and deacon at Saylorville. Kevin’s training and experience in counseling and family related ministries prepared him to join the pastoral staff in 2001. Kevin’s servant’s heart and love for the people is evident in all he does.

Kevin and his wife Jeanie have 3 children: Josh, Jessamyn, and Genevieve.
